11/16/2015

California MENTOR Family Home Agency Long Beach was proudly attended the 1stAnnual Women’s Health Conference and Business Expo. The event was hosted by The City of Carson in partnership with the Carson Citizen Cultural Arts Foundations, the event raised funds for cancer research, diagnosis, treatment and cure. In addition to a fashion show and live discussion panel, the expo offered resources, information and support for those affected by breast cancer. A portion of the event recognized family and friends who provide love and support and also acknowledged the innovative, life-saving work of doctors, researchers, and other medical professionals.

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Breast Cancer is one of the most common cancers found in women, but millions of women are surviving the disease as a result of early detection and treatments. Every year this campaign encourages women of all ages to take preventative steps in detecting the disease in its early stages.
